About
More than 150 years ago, a group of believers came together to worship Jesus Christ and to form a fellowship that we call Central Baptist Church.
Who do we aspire to be, by God’s grace?
We are an intergenerational worshiping community that reaches out in love, helping people to experience God’s salvation and become more like Jesus.
Why do we exist and what is our goal?
We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.
We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ.
How do we do that?
We do that by
- worshiping, praying, and celebrating God together
- learning together from God’s Word.
- sharing life together as we practice following Jesus as an intergenerational family
- building relationships with our neighbours and helping them know Jesus
- serving our community with love
- and giving generously to support God’s work in our world.
We have a wonderful team of volunteers who lead the ministries of Central Baptist Church. They are guided and supported by our staff:
Rev. Eleanor Emmott, Senior Pastor
Jessica Thomson, Office Administrator
